•  When a user of the PlumbLocal and ElecLocal franchise websites selects an 'Application for Franchise' we ask each user for information to assess their suitability for the purchase of a franchise. The requirements for the purchase of Local Services franchise vary from time to time and the requirement for submission of information through LS websites is volatile. This personal information is then used to assess the candidates suitability for interview and will be actioned in accordance with the LS Ethical and Equal Opportunities policy.

Personal information submitted through this system is stored securely in the Local Services Business Management System (BMS) and is held in accordance with current data protection legislation. LS use this personal information solely for the process of an individuals request for information regarding the purchase of a franchise.

We do not sell, rent or exchange personal information submitted through our franchise websites with any third party for commercial reasons. We will only contact you with your consent. •  When a user of the PlumbLocal or ElecLocal commercial services websites selects the 'Email me now' or 'Book me now' options they are doing so to request further information or to book a job with an LS service provider. For LGS to fulfil or process an order or information request we require personal information. Users have the right to withhold personal information that is not required for the order or information process. We use personal information to process the service requests.

We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons, beyond the essential requirement for credit/debit card validation during purchase. We will only contact you with your consent. Please refer to This Page for an example of a service request.

•  Customers may also contact LS with requests for further information or services through the mediums of email, telephone, fax and post. All information and data is processed according to the controls set out in sections 2 and 3.

•  We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation.
