All our companies work towards the same goal - to deliver an unrivalled national service with skilled and qualified local tradesmen

Local Services
Local Services is the parent company of all the ‘Local’ businesses. The company offers a comprehensive range of services to both business and domestic clients. Each business brings added synergies to the group and offers our customers a fully comprehensive ‘one stop’ building services solution.
Local Services has established itself as the partner of choice for companies wishing to reliably outsource the provision of both emergency and planned maintenance building services. Services currently include; electrical, plumbing and drainage with pilot operations underway for decoration. Utilising the latest cutting edge technology, Local Services have developed an industry leading web based ‘Business Management System’ that manages all aspects of service delivery from appointment scheduling to invoicing and accounting. All Local Services operatives have access to the system and being web based our team are able to deliver our clients comprehensive, up to the minute management information throughout every step of the process.

DecorateLocal
Around 70-80% of the cost of a domestic insurance claim following fire and flood disaster relates to redecoration. Due to launch in 07 and with pilot operations in progress DecorateLocal franchisees will offer plastering, paper hanging, painting and decorating services. Primarily aimed at the insurance industry completing restoration works following escape of water or flood damage the service will also be offered to domestic and commercial customers as well. All DecorateLocal operatives will be City & Guilds qualified and CRB Police checked.

Local Trade Counter
LTC (Local Trade Counter) an online merchant similar to ScrewFix. Although initially aimed at the trade in general and currently offering a wide range of products from hand and power tools to consumables, plans are in place to rapidly expand the range to include domestic and commercial sanitary ware, washroom hand dryers as well as everything you might find at your local DIY super store. The current trend away from DIY (as confirmed in recent reports from the Kingfisher Group who own B&Q) has created an exciting opportunity for LTC. LTC is unique in this market in that through its sister companies it offers a convenient, cost effective and trusted fitting service.

PlumbLocal
Not just another plumbing company. We’ve all seen the rogue traders and the builders from hell programs. Classified directories receive thousands of complaints every year from customers about rogue traders they saw advertised in their phone book or directory and yet they still fail to carry out any kind of background check on their advertisers. This has created the perfect opportunity for a trusted and nationally branded service. PlumbLocal serves the nationwide needs of the domestic, commercial and insurance plumbing and drainage market. Changes to Part G of the building regulations introduced in 2006 requiring the certification of certain types of domestic installation is increasing regulation and paves the way for government plans to introduce compulsory minimum qualifications across the whole of the construction industry by 2010. Assessment and registration to the new CORGI competent plumber scheme is now compulsory for all PlumbLocal plumbers and forms the final part of the training and induction programme to ensure we fully comply with this requirement. PlumbLocal plumbers are also City & Guilds qualified, water industry approved and CRB Police checked. visit plumblocal >

ElecLocal
When it comes to electricity most people leave well alone, preferring to call in a professional. Unfortunately for the consumer, classified directories do not ask for proof of qualifications or membership of trade organisations.  ElecLocal serves the nationwide needs of the domestic, insurance and light commercial electrical services market. Legislation in the form of Part P of the building regulations was introduced in January 2005 and finally saw progress towards increasing regulation and marginalising unsafe electrical installers. The electrical services industry has been unregulated for many years and with a growing number of accidents, electrical fires and fatalities caused through shoddy workmanship this new legislation has been widely welcomed. This again fits in with government plans to bring in minimum qualifications across the entire construction industry by 2010 whereby only suitably qualified and competent persons will be able to offer domestic electrical services. All ElecLocal electricians are fully qualified, ‘Part P’ compliant, registered with ELECSA, a competent electrician’s scheme and CRB Police checked. visit eleclocal >
