What is a Master Franchisee?
When a successful business wants to expand internationally and enter into another market, they may do this via granting a master franchise license. This is where the franchisor grants an individual or organisation in a particular country or trading region the exclusive right to develop a
franchise network. The Master Franchisee recruits their own Franchisees in their chosen territory and provides support and services to them. The Master Franchisee will typically pay a license fee and royalty fees for the rights to develop the market. The Master Franchisee however will retain the majority of the fees paid over time by the Franchisees. These are from the individual Franchisees initial franchise fee and also their ongoing royalty fees. The Master Franchisee will be responsible for support, training and supplying the product to the Franchisee. Companies such as Subway and McDonalds have entered into international markets via the master franchise route and have been successful in the process.

It's all in the training
The shortage of reliable, honest tradesmen who are suitably trained and qualified is not just a problem in the UK , our research indicates a worldwide shortage made worse by an ageing workforce. Local Services have attended this problem by selecting suitable external training providers and recruiting its franchisees from practical backgrounds. Each trade based franchisee is intensively retrained and qualified in their respective trade over a three month period. City & Guilds qualifications are recognised throughout the world and training can be tailored to cater for changes in local legislation and equipment used.
Training and accommodation can be done in the UK if required as part of the new franchisees induction. The ability to retrain and qualify mature career changers makes the franchise a very attractive proposition as the shortage of good tradesmen is well known.
How The Local Services Sub Franchisees Operate?
