Local Services take safety very seriously. Our brand values represent safety and trust

Who’s in your home?
High profile TV programs such as Rogue Traders and Watchdog have highlighted the danger of engaging the services of a ‘dodgy’ tradesman. At Local Services we have developed a network of ‘Trusted Tradesmen’ who you can trust in your home.

The Local Services Difference:
For Peace of Mind all tradesmen:

  1. Are CRB Police checked and approved to work in situations with vulnerable adults or children
  2. Carry photographic ID cards
  3. Are assessed and City & Guilds qualified
  4. Members of a competent persons scheme (e.g. CORGI or ELECSA)
  5. Drive a branded vehicle and wear uniform
  6. Are part of a local community where establishing a good reputation is important
  7. Operate to a strict service promise

Health & Safety
The health and safety of our tradesmen and others who may be affected by our activities is a top priority for Local Services.
Local Services health and safety procedures and performance are linked to action plans and targets which are reported regularly, reviewed and discussed by the Standards Review Board (SRB). In a modern world where ‘Health & Safety’ is often dismissed as being ‘scaremongering’ we have a positive attitude to promoting safe and efficient methods of work. As part of their initial training all our operatives receive thorough Health & Safety training.
All Local Services vehicles carry a full Health & Safety manual which contains policies and procedures to assist tradesmen when on site. Our tradesmen also provide Method Statements detailing the steps to completing their jobs.

The Environment
As an environmentally responsible organisation protecting and promoting a positive attitude to the environment is important to us.

Local Services comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice and strive to prevent and minimise our contribution to the pollution of land, air, and water. We seek to keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficient use of materials and resources. Wherever it’s reasonably practical we will recycle or re-use our waste. All Local Services tradesmen operate under a waste carrier’s registration with the Environment Agency.
